What is the greenest thing you can do? We asked ourselves when designing a new house in the Newlands in Boulder. Obviously not building would be the short answer, but since that was impossible what would be the right thing to do with the existing house on the site. It was not good enough to be added on to ( nor do we believe in adding on if there are alternatives ) … so we decided to move the house. After a month search we found a piece of land in Louisville, next to the railroad tracks where we moved this house to. There we build a walk out basement and set the house on top… it was a great experience.. |
